The CISS is an ideal development.  The chip does not register after every 200 - 500 pages causing the printer to require a reset.  This causes the printer to Automatic Head Clean its printer nozzels flooding and saturating the Waste Ink Pads and Pans.  The page counter is offset by the amount of cleans and the printer ERROR message appears.  Ink Waste Pad has Reach the End of Its Usable Life.  This misdirects the consumer to believe that they need to buy a new printer.
