Decent system, but tight fit |

I installed this in a Canon MP6400- this printer is a scanner also. There is no "extra room" in the inside of the printer, so the tube setup is a tight fit. I did some cutting of the printer's outside case, and inside parts also, to get it to fit. Even with these modifications, I need to prop up the scanner lid to have enough space for the tubes. If you don't do this, the printer head will be pressed down and can smudge prints, or even worse, it crumples up the leading edge of the paper and makes a bad printer jam. For this style of printer, or any printer that doesn't have a lot of extra space inside, I would really recommend refillable tanks instead of the CISS-tube system. I was quite nervous to cut parts inside the printer, afraid I might permanently damage it in a way that would make it not print correctly. It all worked out for me, but I would not go this route again, I would get refillable tanks. But, this system is working well for me now.
